Sealcoating provides a protective coating to your asphalt. It preserves it from the elements as well as traffic, chemicals and other wear. A surface properly sealed makes sweeping, snow removal and maintenance easier and cheaper. If properly maintained, sealer prevents damage from spills and leaks. Sealing prevents water seepage into the asphalt, stopping damage caused by rain, snow, freezing and thawing. It also prevents hardening and drying caused by oxidation.
Our all-weather sealer restores the original attractive slate black color to your asphalt. It will bring beauty and life back to your driveway. National studies have shown that every $1 spent on preventative maintenance saves $5 on major rehabilitation. A CAUTIONARY TALE: If you have ever sealcoated a driveway yourself, you know it can be back breaking work. You will need to buy several buckets of the sealer at the hardware store. After you have lugged many of these 50 lb buckets around your driveway, having ruined at least one pair of shoes, one pair of pants, a shirt and a cheap hardware store brush or squeegee, you will find that you have not purchased enough sealer. You will then have to drive back to the store a broken and bitter man, also ruining either your truck upholstery or carpet from your door to the shower during the process. The buckets you purchase will have an inferior blend of sealer compared to what we use. The sealer available at hardware stores has high percentages of solids. Stir one bucket and you know what I mean. Our sealant is a polymer-modified coal tar sealer (PMCTS}. It is a premium coal tar emulsion pavement sealer fortified with cross-linking rubber polymers. The advantages are a deep, rich black color, fuel and oil resistance and is a reduced fume formulation for user friendly application.
